Bahrain Motorcyclists Step Up For Annual Ride

For the 11th year running, and with the support of a jolly band of like-minded people, the annual Think Pink motorcycle ride took place on today (Friday the 13th of October). With key stops dotted around the island, 88 riders set about the ride at 8 am to cover 40kms distance. Special thanks must be given to the scheduled stops- Riffa Views International School (RVIS), Bahrain Polytechnic and Cavali Café in Al Alai Mall, their support plus that of Aqua Cool, once again providing the water is very much key to the success of the awareness ride itself.

The ride itself is not a fundraising event, but an awareness drive. The impact seen by the honks of horns as the riders pass key intersections around Bahrain. The event has been a success due to the commitment of a group of people whom the Charity approached 11 years ago- and never hesitate year on year to support. The fact that it is open to all Bahrain bikers shows the commitment and inclusiveness that is the vision behind the Charity itself.

Speaking at the event Mr. Omar Ebrahim said that “he rides for Think Pink, a Charity close to his heart.” Mark mentioned that he’s “here with all the riders for Think Pink and to support all breast cancer. I have family members whom have been diagnosed with breast cancer and my nieces are at risk- I want to show my support to them and all of those diagnosed with the disease” and Ranal stated that “ supports the pink ride as she comes from a family that has had experience from cancer so I’ve always made it my mission to get involved and help to as much as I can”.
