2021 Campaign: Think Pink: Bahrain Breast Cancer Society

Dear Sponsors and Supporters,

We are writing to you on behalf of Think Pink: Bahrain Breast Cancer Society. We are thrilled to announce that you have supported us in raising BD 28,152.210 (from the 1st of October 2021 till the 31st of January 2022). We are also thrilled to announce the Charity’s latest campaign, Dinar for Distance, “D4D”, was a great success which saw eight corporates and 85 individuals officially engage and move an incredible 7403.95kms. Your drive and belief in our mission and vision keeps us part of the breast cancer conversation and allows the Charity to continue its breast cancer initiatives in the Kingdom for its 17th year since inception.

The funds raised this year will support a lot of “back of house” updates which include the website, mobile application and our evidence-based Decision Aids- these will all enable our community to make informed decisions about best practice Internationally for their own health in relation to breast cancer.

Our continued partnership with the government will help us enable better navigation and pathways for our patients and their families, based on the national breast cancer guidelines, which were developed by the Charity.  This year’s funds will also fund equipment (BD 12,000 per piece) and international training for staff, that supports patients during the chemotherapy treatment. This will include leaflets in both Arabic and English, with a lot of post care practices and suggestions.

We will continue to support patients and families with our existing partnerships and collaboration- post care. As volunteers for this NGO, we once again thank you for believing in the team and for supporting the Charity pillars throughout the years. We look forward to collaborating with you again next October, knowing that 2022, as last year will bring with it new challenges but also opportunities.
