Access to information and knowledge was the driving force behind starting the Charity in 2004. We have only come so far due to the belief from the community- this is what drives the team to think of innovative and collaborative projects that gives access everyone in the Kingdom.

TAHERA AL ALAWI

My reason for joining think pink Bahrain was because I believed in the vision and mission of Julie and wanted to be part of establishing the first stand along breast cancer NGO in the kingdom. The charity has come far and I am proud to be part of such a charismatic and passionate team.

My passion for community service, in the fields of education and health awareness led me to join Think Pink Bahrain. I strive to encourage educational institutions to embed breast cancer awareness in their respective curriculums and programs

LATIFA SALAHUDDIN

As breast cancer is a worldwide concern today, Think Pink Bahrain is out there making a difference every day. Their focus on awareness and education is limitless and they always give people that are or have been affected hope and inspiration.

Mahmood Nasser Al Yousif

As a media professional, I believe it’s my duty to utilize my knowledge and talent to help in any way that I can. When I was approached by Think Pink to see how we can work together, I knew that it would be a perfect fit. I know that there was a lack of awareness in our community relating tobreast cancer and addressing that issue would be the noble cause that I wanted to be associated with. It’s been over a decade since that moment and as I look back, I hope that my efforts had dissipated some of the misconceptions and have contributed to saving a life. I look forward to the next decade of working together and more people to benefit from our joint efforts

Sultan Muhammad

Since joining the Bahrain Breast Cancer Society’s board in 2016, I’ve been personally moved by Think Pink Bahrain’s focus on education. Having witnessed the power of knowledge in families, I’m driven to ensure every person in Bahrain can make informed decisions about their health. It’s not just about top-tier healthcare; it’s about a holistic approach that values and supports individuals. My collaboration with Think Pink Bahrain is close to my heart. Together, we work at the grassroots, forging partnerships with local bodies. Our mission is to stress the critical roles of education, screenings, and community involvement, hoping for a future where everyone in Bahrain is empowered and informed.

Prof. Zbys Fedorowicz

Organisation Structure

The Charity adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Ministry of Labour & Social Development, Bahrain. We have annual AGM’s and regular meetings and are audited by Ernst and Young.A new direction for the Charity (October 2020) came about, given the current global circumstances and wanting to engage stakeholders and patrons across other levels- a new structure was developed. 2020 saw for the first time since inception that we have three male volunteers, two of whom are now sitting on the Board for a two-year tenure (2020/2022). To date we have a total of 25 volunteers, with clear Roles & Responsibilities that mean at future AGM’s, volunteers who have supported for two years can nominate themselves for a Board position
